Masking exception requests

Immuta Marketplace now supports masking exception requests, enabling organizations to safely grant granular access to sensitive data. Data consumers can request access to specific masked columns within a data product, and, if approved, see the unmasked values while masking continues to apply for all other users.

  • Requests can be made for one or more columns within a data product.
  • Approvals, denials, and revocations follow the same workflow and auditing as existing Marketplace access requests.
  • Provisioning is handled automatically through Immuta policies, column tags, and user attributes.

Masking exception requests make column-level access manageable and auditable. Consumers only request what they need, while stewards review the request with context like classification tags. The result is simplified, repeatable workflows.
