OAuth 2.0 authentication for Immuta's Alation integration

Immuta’s Alation integration now supports OAuth 2.0 authentication. OAuth 2.0 is available alongside the existing API key authentication method, giving you more flexibility in how to secure the connection between Alation and Immuta.

Impact

This enhancement eliminates the need to repeatedly update your integration with new API keys. With API key authentication, Alation requires users to generate a refresh token that expires after a maximum of 90 days, with a default as low as 24 hours. API keys generated from that refresh token expire accordingly, which means you have to update the Immuta integration with a new valid API key. If you use the OAuth 2.0 authentication method, you no longer need to perform recurring API key rotation for this integration.
