Snowflake integration architecture updates
Beginning July 23, 2026, Immuta will start rolling out an update to the back-end architecture that supports the Snowflake integration. The rollout will continue over the following weeks for Snowflake customers. These back-end changes improve the efficiency of operations between Immuta and Snowflake, supporting improved performance at higher scale.
What's changing
Policy role updates
Immuta will update the Immuta policy role names used to grant users access to Snowflake data sources. This is a required metadata change because the new architecture grants access differently, which requires policy roles to be recreated.
- There will be no downtime during the migration.
- There will be no end-user impact.
- Only policy role names will change.
- User role names will remain unchanged.
Manual policy resync updates
The Data Policy Resync option in Snowflake data source health checks will now resync both data policies and subscription policies. If a policy failure occurs on a Snowflake data source, you can manually trigger a resync from the health check, and both policy types will be resynchronized. Integration error banner removal
Immuta will no longer display integration error banners when integration validation fails. These error messages will instead be available through the new experience in Immuta Connections.
Availability
This update will be released to Snowflake customers over the coming weeks, beginning July 23, 2026.
